Rivalry Renewed: Ludlowe And Warde Football Will Face Off On Thanksgiving

Ludlowe and Warde will play their annual Thanksgiving day game on Thursday. The game will take place at Warde (Tetreau/Davis Field) at 10am.

The rivalry dates back to 2005. Warde has 4 wins to Ludlowe’s 3. Warde has won the last 2 meetings by a combined score 73-29. Ludlowe’s last win in was in 2009 by a score of 24-14.

On the season, Ludlowe is 4-5, coming off an exciting 21-20 ovetime win over Norwalk on Thursday. Warde is 1-8 and fell to Wilton 14-0 on Friday.

Despite the records, any team can win on any given Sunday as they say (or in this case, any given Thursday).

It will be “senior day” at Warde. The Warde seniors will be honored for the hard work they have put in the past four years. Due to it being the last game of the season, it will be the final high school football game for the seniors on both teams.

Come out on Thursday morning and support your team. It should be a great game and a great atmosphere.

Following the game, I will have a full recap so be sure to check back here.
