Ludlowe edged Wilton 52-50 on Tuesday night.
Ludlowe was down early but responded well.
With 2 minutes left in the first quarter, Wilton led 15-4 thanks to a 10-0 run. Wilton led 19-10 after one.
After being down 13 points in the first half, Ludlowe was able to pull even at 28 with Wilton at halftime.
After three, Ludlowe trailed 38-36.
With Ludlowe up 2 with 2:47 left, Patrick Gutierrez hit a clutch three to put Ludlowe up 45-40.
Wilton did not give up. With 9.8 second, Ludlowe led only by 3, 50-47
Ludlowe was able to hang on and win 52-50 thanks to clutch free throw shooting.
Connor Peterson had 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Gutierrez put in 17 points of his own.
Ludlowe (2-1) will play next on Friday at Greenwich.
In sub-varsity action, Ludlowe’s freshman and junior varsity beat Wilton to give Ludlowe a sweep for the day.
