Ludlowe fell to Westhill 48-37 on Tuesday night. The score is not indicative of how close the game was in the end.
The game did not start out well for Ludlowe as they were outscored 14-4 in the first quarter. Westhill’s trapping defense was really giving Ludlowe problems early on.
The second quarter was much better for the Falcons as they outscored Weshill 10-7 in the quarter and trailed only 21-14 at half.
In the 3rd quarter Ludlowe’s Patrick Gutierrez hit 2 threes and Mark Malone had 7 points in the quarter as Ludlowe was able to trim the deficit to 32-29 after 3.
The fourth quarter was an issue for Ludlowe. The were within 2 with two minutes to go but some costly turnovers and poor foul shooting allowed Westhill to grab an 11 point win.
Ludlowe drops to 5-5 (4-4 FCIAC). Westhill improves to 8-1 (7-0 in FCIAC). Ludlowe will return home on Friday to play Norwalk at 7.
