Ludlowe fell to Norwalk 58-53 on Friday night.
Ludlowe got down big early on. The game was tied at 2 but then the Falcons had a lot of trouble with the Bears press. Ludlowe trailed 10-2 and 14-4 at points during the 1st quarter. Ludlowe gave up 22 first quarter points and trailed Norwalk 22-14 after one quarter.
Ludlowe and Norwalk played an even 2nd quarter, with each team scoring 10 points in the quarter and Norwalk led Ludlowe 32-24 at halftime.
In the 3rd quarter Norwalk got up by as much as 13 and after 3, Norwalk led by 11, 46-35.
Ludlowe outscored Norwalk 18-12 in the fourth but couldn’t hit some big shots late as Norwalk was able to ice the game from the foul line.
Roy Kane led all scorers with 25 for Norwalk
Ludlowe was led by Patrick Gutierrez’s 18. Matt Doyle gave the Falcons a boost off the bench, scoring 11 points, including 2 threes.
Ludlowe dropped their 2nd in a row to fall to 5-6 (4-5 in FCIAC). Norwalk improved to 8-3 (6-3 In FCIAC). The Falcons have their bye and won’t play again until next Friday when they travel to Stamford to take on the Black Knights.
