Lillet Blanc & Peaches
Peaches, French Wine & Late Summer!
To try my grownup peach dessert, you just need to plan ahead. Buy a bottle of Lillet Blanc wine and then chill the dessert overnight before eating.
8 Ripe Peaches
2 Tablespoons Crystallized Ginger Chips
4 Tablespoons Sugar
1 750-ML Bottle Lillet Blanc Wine
3 Tablespoons Chopped Fresh Basil
1 Pint Whipped Cream
1/4 Cup Chopped Pistachio Nuts
Peel peaches and cut them into half-inch wedges. Place peaches into a large-size bowl. Add ginger, sugar, and basil, and give a good toss. Add Lillet and cover with plastic wrap. Place into fridge overnight, and when you are ready to serve, fill 6 wine or dessert glasses halfway with the peach and Lillet mixture. Top with whipped cream and garnish with pistachio nuts. Serve immediately. Serves 6
