Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration!

You are invited to celebrate with the Greenwich Library’s Children’s Services on Friday, March 2 at 3:30 p.m. in the Meeting Room to commemorate Dr. Seuss’ birthday with a party and a special reading of The Lorax.

For a decade Children’s Services has participated in the National Education Association’s year- round reading motivation and awareness project, Read Across America, with a celebration of reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children’s author, Theodore Geisel, also known as Dr. Seuss. This year the new movie, The Lorax, based on a Dr. Seuss favorite, will also have its theatre debut on March 2. Our celebration will therefore feature The Lorax, with book readings, the readers’ pledge, fun games, crafts and of course, birthday cake!

This program is appropriate for ages five and older. It is made possible through the support of the Greenwich Library Board of Trustees and contributions by generous donors. For more information please call Alice Sherwood at (203) 622-7940.
