Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration a Success!

The Greenwich Library’s Children’s Services had a wonderful turnout on Friday, March 2 to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday with a special reading of The Lorax.

For a decade Children’s Services has participated in the National Education Association’s year- round reading motivation and awareness project, Read Across America, with a celebration of reading on or near the birthday of beloved children’s author, Theodore Geisel, also known as Dr. Seuss.

This year the new movie, The Lorax, based on a Dr. Seuss favorite, had its theatre debut on March 2, so our celebration featured The Lorax, with book readings, the readers’ pledge, fun games, crafts and of course, birthday cupcakes! Join us next time…
