Friends Friday Film Connects With Greenwich Reads Together

Tonight’s Friends Friday Film is Trouble the Water, an award-winning documentary that mixes amateur and professional footage of the approach, devastation, and aftermath of Hurricane Katrina that struck New Orleans in 2005.

Aspiring rap singer Kimberly Roberts turned her brand new video camera on scenes of dramatic rescues and harrowing suffering. You’ll meet two unforgettable people who survive the storm and then seize a chance for a new beginning. Shown in conjunction with the Greenwich Reads Together project and the themes presented in the chosen book, Zeitoun by Dave Eggers. The film runs 96 minutes.

Admission to the Friends Friday Films is free. This series is made available by your membership contributions. Doors to the Cole Auditorium open at 7:40 p.m. and show time is 8 p.m. For more information, please call Wayne Campbell at (203) 622-2972.
