“Junie B. Jones” by Theatreworks USA at Greenwich Library

|

The Friends of Greenwich Library present Theatreworks USA’s production of Junie B. Jones, on Saturday, November 17 at 2 p.m. in the Cole Auditorium.

Outspoken, precocious, lovable Junie B. Jones stars in a colorful, funny, fast-paced musical about new friends, new glasses, sugar cookies, the annual kickball tournament, and other various first-grade angst-ridden situations. Follow her adventures as she writes down the story of her life in her “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal.” This new musical is based on Barbara Park’s Junie B. Jones series of books.

Theatreworks USA is America’s largest and most prolific professional not-for-profit theatre for young and family audiences. Since 1961, Theatreworks USA has enlightened, entertained, and instructed over 72 million people in 49 states and Canada, now performing for about four million people annually. Every year, the company tours approximately 16 shows from its ever-growing repertoire of 115 plays and musicals. In addition, Theatreworks USA also has an extensive multi-cultural guest artist roster, including storytellers, puppeteers, poets, and magicians.

This 60-minute musical is appropriate for children ages four and up, and is free and open to all. Assigned seating tickets are limited to six per person and will be available at noon at the auditorium. Doors open for the performance at 1:50 p.m. For more information, contact the Friends Office at (203) 622-7938.

This performance is made possible through the support of the Friends of Greenwich Library and contributions by generous donors.
