Q Poll: The more voters get to know McMahon the less they like her.

by:

Observations from Q Poll director:

“It looks like Connecticut voters forgive Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, or feel that there is nothing to forgive in the Vietnam service flap. While he has taken a hit with voters, his poll numbers were so high to begin with that he still maintains a commanding lead over Linda McMahon,” said Quinnipiac University Poll Director Douglas Schwartz, PhD.

“What is surprising is that McMahon gets no bounce from her Republican convention victory. Her negatives went up 13 points from 26 percent unfavorable to 39 percent unfavorable. The more voters get to know McMahon the less they like her.”

“Blumenthal has been able to maintain his large lead because it is tough to change the perceptions of a hugely popular incumbent, and because McMahon is viewed negatively by the state’s voters,” Dr. Schwartz added.

  1. Bye DICK says:

Gee Dick if you were under oath an you mis-spoke about serving in VIETNAM well that would be perjury now would it not? At Least Linda Tells It Like It is,an she dont need to take money from anyone…Do ya think any VETERANS are gonna vote for ya? People who are looked upon as being decietful dont deserve to serve the public…Wouldnt you agree Dick?

  2. Hammond Egger says:

His claim of “mis-speaking” is really weak. One doesn’t forget serving in combat.I think the voters are sick of career politicians who can’t tell the truth

  3. LEE says:

The more I learn about Linda McMahon the more I like her and the more I get to know about Richard Blumenthal tells me he is not what we are looking for to represent Connecticut!! Americans are turning away from people like him “In your face Liars”. One knows if you served in Vietnam and there’s know getting around the lie!! He should resign and hide his head in shame!!

  4. Hammond Egger says:

I notice Blumenthal has new ads criticizing Linda’s “attack ads”.But he doesn’t deny LYING ,errr “mis-speaking” and doesn’t deny he actually took the money that he states he never took. And now he and Obama will be appearing together.THAT won’t help his chances……….

  5. Voter says:

I used to like Blumenthal, but I fear he will a part of Obama machine in Washington. We need new blood.

  6. Hammond Egger says:

Schiff ?.Instead of saying what he would do-all he did was replay the same footage of Linda kicking J.R. in the groin.Instead of all the personal attacking he should have presented his ideas. He came off as weak and desperate, not a viable candidate.Blumie isn’t a shoe in either.A lot of people don’t like how he “mis spoke” on his record, and taking money from lobbyists.Like Judge Judy says…if you TELL THE TRUTH-YOU DON’T NEED A GOOD MEMORY

  7. observant says:

I can’t believe republicans voted for this two-party hack McMahon when they had an option of Peter Schiff. Must have been a giveaway to the Democrats behind closed doors. Of course, Blumenthal will trounce her. Maybe it’s a reward for turning a blind eye to certain shennanigans as AG.

  8. GeorgeIvory says:

Mr. Blumenthal has worked hard to create his popularity but that is not his job and lying to create that persona is not noble. We do not need another grandstanding politician in Washington, we need people who know how to behave honorably and create jobs. It is in his DNA to fib and anyone who thinks that lying about his service record is his only misstep will soon be disappointed.

  9. Al From Black Rock says:

I Know how hard Mr. Blumenthal has work for Connecticut, and money will never buy my vote. So Mrs McMoney put an egg in your shoe and beat it.
