The City’s $1 Billion Financial Storm Warning

by:

Ouch. A budget-hawk organization that calls itself Institute For Truth In Accounting doesn’t exactly paint a rosy picture about city finances. See this http://connecticut.statebudgetwatch.org/files/2011/05/Bridgeport-CT-2010.pdf

And this http://www.truthinaccounting.org/news/listing_article.asp?section=451&section2=451&CatID=5&ArticleSource=964

The organization issued the report in partnership with Bridgeport resident David Walker, the nation’s former chief accountant, who predicted the national financial collapse.

Mary Moran was the last honest mayor Bridgeport had.And they buried her because she told the truth about the financial ruins the city was-and still is-in.We then got a steady stream of liars, boozers, thieves and cokeheads as mayors. And the never ending cycle of cronyism and corruption that defines Bridgeport as the # 1 corrupt city in CT

  2. AUERBACH POST says:

Mayor Mary C. Moran addressed this issue in 1990. Sad we are still in same position 20 years later. Enough said !She was a one term Mayor after only 2 years. Residents will not be so quick to give a Mayor another 4 years if these issues can not be resolved.

Big surprise. The City of Bpt is poorly run. That’s because jobs are given to political cronies-not the experienced or qualified.Until the mindless sheep here stop voting in whatever stooge the Dems endorse,we will continue to be mired in red ink and corruption
