I, too, like Glen Davis. I feel he gives great effort when he is in. He has the potential to develop several of the midrange shots such as the one which ended a playoff game, and which give opposing defenses fits if he can hit them consistently.

On defense Big Baby plays much bigger than he is, because of his strength and his understanding of what he is trying to do. He is one of Tom Thibidoux’s more apt pupils. He is capable of spelling Kevin Garnett, with relatively small loss in (for short periods) in team defense.

If Danny has to pay $3.5 or even $4 million, he should keep Baby.

Interesting. If I waited a day, I would have been behind the new info, so it makes my timing look good! (I put this up article up early yesterday.)

I like Glen “Big Baby” Davis and hope he returns to the Boston Celtics. He’s been a fine and surprising addition to the team and has played well under several circumstances.

you seem to have found an interesting style, combining a glib sense of humor with your literary,intellectual background.
While you’re not telling us anything new or exciting, I did learn something and got a cool Bertrand Russell quote out of the process. ;>)
By the way…. Jeff Goodman quotes C’s brass, who seem to be thinking right along the same lines:

“According to sources close to the situation, the Celtics brass believes that Davis will be back in Boston next season – either with a multi-year deal worth in the neighborhood of $2 million per year or for a qualifying offer in which Davis would still remain a restricted free agent after next season.”
