"Until now, if true, that was not publicly known. Was it communicated to prospective suitors? Or was it kept intentionally vague? It would have been to the Cs benefit if it was vague, one would assume. I’m just trying to understand how this off season has progressed."

After the long period of silence.... now we have this fairly specific "leak?"
Reading between the lines, especially Davis' frustration and me thinks that his rep. has waived the white flag and decided to take Danny's offer. I anticipate a signing before the weekend.
As for the acceptance of a 1 yr. qualifying offer and becoming unrestricted... I think you are correct, but I think it is lower than 2 million, not higher.

Yeah,

David Lee has been hung out to dry, hasn't he?

Agree that things should start resolving themselves soon.

Davis looks like he is going to have to compromise or take the QO and hope things are better next year.

No rest for you Tom - actually, it is the time to hibernate if you are an NBA fan. But after David Lee, Glen Davis has to be the next best big on the FA table, so this has to shake out soon I would think. How about you Tom?
