Bill Walker Double Doubles in D-League Debut 2009

Just received this release:

Boston Celtics assignee Bill Walker recorded a double-double with a team-high in points (25) and rebounds (11) for the Maine Red Claws. NBA D-League veteran Billy Thomas scored 18 points behind 3-of-4 shooting from the three-point line.

Way to go, Bill. There is talk that sharp shooting 6′ 3″ Lester Hudson may join him at some point. Tony Allen’s imminent return may dry up any possible minutes that he would have gotten in Boston.

J.R. Giddens is still available to go, but I don’t know if that helps Giddens much as this point. Still, playing is better than not playing.

Maybe Walker and Giddens will rotate ‘Downeast”
