According to store’s website, the 12-inch-long pieces were designed by master woodworker Spencer Peterman and handcrafted in his Massachusetts workshop using fallen local cherry trees from nearby forests. So no new trees were felled just for this purpose.
Each piece of wood is selected based upon its natural whorls, burls and grain. The results are quite striking.
