Fresh Pasta Abounds!

Lots of fresh pasta shops seem to be popping up around our area—

 

Tutto Pasta is now open in Fairfield (2126 Post Road).  Originally in Georgetown, CT, they moved their shop to a beautifully renovated a new space in the Harry’s Corner shopping plaza in December 2012.  They make all the pasta fresh daily—and have hand-cut-to-order  linguine, capellini, tagliatelle and papparadele are always on hand.  In addition, they do wonderful raviolis (not just cheese, but several varieties, all of which are delicious), which on the day I was there, the owner offered to make fresh right in front of my eyes.  It doesn’t get any fresher than that!  If you’re looking for something to go with your fresh pasta, Tutto Pasta also sells homemade sauces, pestos, meatballs, soup and Wave Hill bread!

Tutto Pasta hours:  Monday-Friday 10am-6:30pm, Saturday 10am-5pm.

PastaPresto also recently opened in the SoNo Marketplace (314 Wilson Ave., South Norwalk). The culinary concept was created by husband and wife team, Bill and Meri Erickson  of New Canaan, Connecticut, and Mario Cavestany of Madrid. Open weekly on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, PastaPresta will regularly offer traditional egg, spinach and whole grain pasta and raviolis. In addition, customers can also choose from the special flavor of the week that highlights seasonal ingredients such as heirloom tomato, roast garlic, squid ink, beet, cracked pepper and arugula, among others.

PastaPresta hours:  10am to 6pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
