This graph from Calculated Risk blog is winding its way around the web today (Here’s their full, readable version).
What it shows is that this is by far the deepest and longest recession since World War II as far as job losses are concerned. The dotted line down the middle marks the month in each recession that had the highest percentage of employment reductions from the previous cycle’s high. Notice how the red line, job losses in the current recession, seems to have stalled out after rising briefly off the low.
Sorry for the Friday afternoon downer. At least if you’re out of work, you have company.

Change back to when privacy was a right to every citizen. The right to choose. The right to be able to have a good way of life. A right to not have to carry such a deficit of $42,000 for every person in this country. A right to prosper and not sell our jobs to foreign countries. A right to decide for yourself to choose if you should were seat belts or not. A right to decipline your kids. A right to just be a plain American.
Not to have our government pass thousands of law depriving you of your freedoms. Looking back at the sixties when the majority lived a middle class life style. Were today more people are falling nto poverty from the middle class families.
I am sure you can come up with a few yourself. Its time to get your head out of sand and stand up for your rights as an American!
We need to change America back to what it used to be!
and what was that ?
Tired of molded and groomed politicianswho represent party needs above the people’s needs. This is the downfall of America, we need to clean up our goverment. They no longer represent the people. They pass laws against our imperfections, taking away all of our rights. As the expression goes, it takes one apple to ruin the batch, inthis case the actions of one individual takes away the rights of all. This is were or government is flawed. We the people need to change the direction of our goverment, remove the thousands of laws depriving us of freedoms. Here are some examples!
Today police departments can drive by you and scan your plates. Getting your whole background history. Invading your rights of privacy!
Government tracks your cell phone calls, they here, locate and invade your rights every second of every day.
These are only two examples, there are thousands of examples that we do not even imagine could be happening everyday. All in the name of national security! We need to change America back to what it used to be!
This is the worst economic crisis in U.S. history and will not improve until a new political party (Independant)takes the majority vote away from the two existing parties. Then spending will be stopped, the voices of the people will be heard and lobbying will end.
The only way for the U.S. economy to recovery will be when we produce new trade agreements with Asia, Europe, and South America. We need to set a dollar for dollar trade standard regardless of what those countries want. Europe has done it and so can we. IF we don’t, we might never recover!
