Elle Fanning’s racy photos: Another Lolita in the making?

on
On Elle Fanning’s birthday this April, someone posted an open letter to the child actress that said, “Thank you for being 13 – and looking it.” It praised Elle for her sweet, cute-kid fashion sense, which the letter-writer said steered clear of the “over-sexualized world of Hollywood.” Well, that was short-lived. On Wednesday, BlackBook posted [...] [Read More]

Saturday Night Fever was inspired 35 years ago, with a lie

on
Almost from the moment it was released in 1977, John Badham’s film Saturday Night Fever began molding popular culture and music. Sure, disco had been around for some time before John Travolta strutted his stuff in a white suite on the big screen, but it was the movie and its Bee Gees-powered soundtrack that turned [...] [Read More]

Teenage phenom Bryce Harper has long been considered the next Barry Bonds or Alex Rodriguez, and that’s not altogether a good thing. Last night, the 18-year-old Washington Nationals prospect stood around home plate watching his drive go out of the park for the Hagerstown Suns. on
Did you happen to catch the Robert Pattinson show Sunday on MTV? What did they call that show pre-Pattinson? The MTV Movie Awards, I think.

Pattinson kissed and swore his way through the evening, insinuating at one point that his before-the-show prep might have had some help from a buddy named Jose Cuervo.

“Tequila is like a Lay’s potato chip,” Pattinson said. “It’s impossible to have just one.”

Or two. Or three, apparently.

Pattinson’s antics were too much for MTV’s censors, who failed to catch an f-bomb he dropped while presenting actress Reese Witherspoon with her MTV “Generation” award.

If you tuned into the MTV Movie Awards Sunday — sorry, I meant the Robert Pattinson show –you know everyone’s favorite teen vampire was on a tequila-fueled roll.

Pattinson locked lips with “Twilight” costar Taylor Lautner and said some generally odd things during his many trips across the stage, including an an uncensored f-bomb while introducing actress Reese Witherspoon.

“I did (bleep) you,” he said about their roles in the film “Water for Elephants.”

(Hey, look, MTV — my censorship button is working just fine.)

on
Do we really need a study to tell us that most experienced drivers would fail their written tests if forced to take it again? Probably not. In fact, just last night I parked my car in what I considered to be a respectable distance from a fire hydrant, but my friend was convinced that the [...] [Read More]
