A Dallas-area model and fashion blogger walked unassisted Monday for the first time since being severely injured walking into the propeller of a small airplane Dec. 3.

Lauren Scruggs, 23, of Plano lost her left hand in the accident, plus suffered head, brain and shoulder injuries from the plane propeller. She’s in a Dallas hospital.

On Monday, Lauren’s family wrote in their CaringBridge blog that she also was able to eat some of her favorite foods:

Praise the Lord, Lauren’s pain is much more manageable today! Thank you so much for the prayers! She has been eating some of her favorite foods today, sweet potatoes and hard boiled eggs! Lauren was able to walk on her own today, such a miracle!

On Saturday, they wrote in the blog that she smiled:

Earlier in the week, we requested prayer for Lauren’s facial nerve, and it appears prayers have been answered! Lauren is able to smile and lift both eyebrows on her own, such a miracle! Please continue to pray for this recovery, as well as her left eye. Lauren’s sweet spirit continues to shine through every day, reminding us of the miracle that she is!

MensHealth.com has announced Jennifer Aniston is the sexiest woman of all time. From the story:

Aniston herself told the website she thinks the sexiest woman of all time is a toss up between Brigitte Bardot and Gloria Steinem.
“But if I had to choose one, I’d say Gloria because, well, she’s the full package. That’s sexy,” she said.

Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman James Looney was arrested in November after allegedly smashing his Maserati into three cars and later spit at a police offer, according to a report by TMZ.

Loney was arrested because he was believed to be under the influence of drugs after he swerved into one car and careened into two others.

Loney was “restless, unsteady, aggressive and irritable,” according to the report.

Loney was asked what day it was and he replied “7/15 and Saturday.” Well, it was Nov. 14 and a Monday.

When he was transported to a nearby hospital, he became “uncooperative.” When an officer attempted to give him a breathalyzer test, Looney, according to the report, bit off the mouthpiece and spit it back at the cop.

Cops say they obtained a blood sample to test drugs and alcohol, and it came back negative, actually.
