Five-year-old Ori Wright is a kid who loves fire trucks and wants to be a fireman someday. According to 3TV Phoenix, he’s battling childhood leukemia and has recently had a relapse. He’s often in chemotherapy and gets to go to fire stations only on good weeks.
In response, Phoenix-area firefighters are asking people around the world to send photos of their local fire trucks and firefighters for Ori.
Through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, United Phoenix Firefighters built Ori a fire station-themed tree house. And they went beyond that by giving him his own, real fire helmet and reaching out to others via their Facebook page.
In a Facebook message today, the firefighters said their goal is to be able to “wallpaper Ori’s room … with all these cool photos.”
