Think twice before cheating on a Marine.
The revealing anecdote of a deployed Marine dealing with a cheating girlfriend has become a web sensation on Facebook and social media site BuzzFeed.
The Marine is unidentified, and there are no details to prove the validity of the story.
In fact, the story bears a striking similarity to an episode of M*A*S*H titled “Identity Crisis.” In the episode, Marine James Mathis is crestfallen when his girlfriend coldly writes a letter ending their relationship and asking for photos of her to be returned.
Hawkeye decides to help and collects photos of various girls from around camp. He suggests that Mathis send the photos to his ex with a letter saying he can’t remember what she looks like, and ask her to remove her photos and send back the rest.
Mathis loves the idea and adds that the package should be sent postage due.
