A 15-year-old boy arrived on a hotel balcony just in time to record a violent brawl between two wedding parties with his cell phone’s video camera. Max Shultz, who was visiting Philadelphia with his family, can be heard on the video at one point, saying “Did they just deck the bride?”
Three arrests have been made so far after the fight, which started in a bar at the Sheraton Society Hill hotel and involved nearly 100 people, CBS This Morning reports. One man, believed to be the uncle of one of the brides, died after the incident, reportedly due to a heart attack.
“They just started punching each other and hitting each other, and the police came in and started clubbing people,” Shultz told reporters.
Police said alcohol may have played a role in the brawl. They have arrested one person for assaulting an officer and two others for disorderly conduct, WPIX New York reported. They are currently reviewing the video to see if additional charges will be filed.
