Top Three Thursdays

I’m kicking off my weekly celebration of all things Etsy with a nod to my pillow fetish. Yes, I am in love with pillows and what they can do to a room and would, in a different world than the one I inhabit currently, spend a LOT of money on them in various ways. I would have different pillows for different seasons, different moods, different events. Sadly, my life does not echo my imagination about this so I just deal with it by posting about pillows from time to time. These caught my eye at Meringue Designs. If you don’t like this particular one, she’s got plenty of others for sale, worry not! I have kind of a gray thing going on right now too so this worked for me on a lot of levels. All her pillows have invisible zippers — nice touch. This one is $34.50.

Another design fetish I’ve got — this IS a day for confessions isn’t it? — is wall decals. I’ve got some in my apartment, some of which I’ve bought on Etsy, although from another shop. I love this tree in Dali Decals‘ shop and it’s got me thinking about the wall behind my bed. What a great way to incorporate nature in your home. Its exact measurements are 86″ tall by 182″ wide (as shown with the leaves). The tree by itself measures 84″ tall by 90″ wide, and will come with ALL the leaves shown so that you may place however you like. And remember: Decals are temporary; when you get tired of them, you can take them off easily and start over. Price is $200.

There are fire pits and then there are fire pits….this one, from John Tunger’s shop, blew me away.Yes, it’s pricey, but when you’re not having a fabulous fire in it, it’s a piece of art, a sculpture that will make any patio or yard a better place to be. It’s 37 inches and the fleur-de-lis design is just breathtaking. $1,049.
