Back Splash

Having just gotten back from a fabulous sunny vacation on a warm island that would make you all hate me, I am now saving my pennies for a new kitchen counter and backsplash, which is going to happen this year, come hell or high water. Our counter is from the ’70s. Need I say more? Anyway I’ve begun trolling the web for some inspiration and thought I’d share a few options I discovered at Mod Walls, a site dedicated to “making tiles modern.” This one is something they call their Bora Bora blend. Not sure why but it’s certainly bright and light, and might be just the thing in kitchen that’s a little on the dark side.

Maybe something a little more subtle? How about this one called Lush Almond? I love the idea of tiling a window box. Sadly, I can’t do that but what a great idea!

I like the bigger size squares on this next one, although I’m not loving the window. I wish I had those cabinets, though!

Do you have any favorite spots for backsplash ideas? I’d love to hear about them.

  1. I love walking into a person home who loves art. I can tell so much about that person by what they have chosen for their home. I wish everyone would learn the joy to live with art.

  2. That’s really the right thing.
    I agree with you.

    It’s perfect.
    It suits the house.
    I’m glad you posted it.
