Decor Deal a Day!

I discovered this great decor deal of the day website, Wuslu, and am passing on the good news to you. Here’s how it works: The owners of the site post a deal a day, thanks to their extensive database of manufacturers and suppliers. They offer it up to you, one at a time, a day at a time. Once it’s sold it’s gone (or if the time hits 10 a.m. EST). How great is that! You can also sign up for alerts on their website, which seems like a no-brainer to me. Anyway here’s a sample deal from last week to let you see the possibilities: Buy two pillar holders and get four free pillars. Total price: $21. It’s like Christmas every day at Wuslu.

Go Martha

I’ve written about the wonders of Flor before. For those not in the know, you can create your own carpeting by putting together their multitude of squares in a million different fabulous colors and designs. But I got this email about Martha Stewart’s new design with them and thought it was worth bringing to your attention. This Serengeti-inspired design takes animal prints to a new modern level I think. It’s part of the new lattice loop-and-cut carpet that Martha worked with Flor to create. I know there are Martha haters out there, and I have been part of that crowd myself in my younger days, but the woman is talented for sure. All Flor tiles are 19.7″ x 19.7″. This one is $16.99 per tile.

Feeling the Felt

Peace Industry is a company that focuses on felted rugs made in Iran. Owners Melina and Dodd Raissnia create the rugs, which are designed by Melina, using a variation on ancient rug-making traditions. The results are beautiful, as these samples, just a few of the many, many designs and colors, reveal.

Here’s just a small sampling of their many colors and designs.
