Whew. It’s been a looooong, loooong day. Collected and wrote more football team previews this morning, wrote a column, went to a scrimmage, did a sit-down interview for almost two hours, got back to the office for more previews….
Now, safe back home here at the midnight hour and I’m Finally getting a chance to read my email and… boy, judging by all the football fans dying for info, it seems to me that we’re starving to get this season started, huh?

We hear ya. But instead of giving away all the secrets at once, we’ll do it in small doses leading up to the the big football primer, in-depth team capsules and conference outlooks which will be released next Thursday night on the website and next Friday in the Connecticut Post newspaper.
Until then, we’re doing our annual countdown to the season, writing a story a day to give you all the necessary in-depth news before (ahem) others decide to wow you with stylish previews. Yes, they can look cool and have the potential contain a few good stories. But stick with us for the next few days and we’ll give you all the substance you’ll need before they do.
