Not sure what motivated Lou Marinelli’s colleagues to put New Canaan that high. I mean, that’s some consensus pick. No. 4 in the state?
I’ve run the Elite Eight for the last few days and, well, with Shelton chiming in at No. 3, I think everybody can agree that there’s no way New Canaan is making my list.
Are the Rams good? Sure. Are they well-coached and never should be underestimated? Absolutely.
But losing Neeleman, Reed, Casali, Renner, Drexer…. the whole team pretty much, kinda puts a damper on any preseason hype, no?
\If they wanted to delete New Canaan, and bump every one up a notch and maybe put the Rams somewhere ahead of Maloney, I’d think this is a fine poll.

I know Scott, sorry. I can’t believe I keep doing that. I guess your father’s name, who I met years before you, is just ingrained in my head and when I write fast, it just comes out.
