First, the scores:
Brookfield 15, Pomperaug 14 (Didn’t see it coming, but makes sense)
Norwalk 21, Ridgefield 17 (wow)
Hand 41, West Haven 40 (I thought West Haven would make it close. Reports from the front say Hand used the Boise State play to win it.)
Cheshire 40, Notre Dame-WH 28 (It wasn’t even that close. Will the REAL Cheshire please (please) stand up. It’s a 10-game season, guys.)
Derby 27, Sheehan 26 (How’d this end?)
Wilton 23, St. Joseph 19 (St. Joseph continues to sink, but not without a fight. Tim Parry has the report on this wacky ending on the trusty ol’ FCIACfootballblog
Now, the notes…
Also, anyone know the single game rushing record for Shelton? Geoff Schultz might have broken it tonight with 388 against Xavier. Cool vids to come.
Also the Naples-Greenwich game is sold out in Florida, but won’t be televised according to this report in the Naples Daily News. Must be a happy day for WGCH ad reps. They just wound up with exclusive Connecticut coverage.
Luckily for me, Ansonia-Seymour is on Thursday (thank blessed God) and I’ll be at Staples-New Canaan on Friday night. You can get WGCH in New Canaan, right?
More to come.
