Details of this result didn’t make our newspaper, understandably. I mean, I guess they don’t have mobile service in Vermont (kidding! It’s a beautiful town Rutland with plenty of amenities courtesy of the ski tourist trade up in Killington (formerly Sherburne).
(Ahhh, skiing. The only reason winter is remotely tolerable).
Anyway, here’s the game story of Danbury’s 33-21 win over Rutland from the hometown Rutland Herald:
Apparently Rutland is a perennial power up in Vermont football and they were treating this game the same way Greenwich treated last year’s clash with Naples, Florida.
SPEAKING of Naples! I heard they lost for the first time in two seasons. But no more free links for the Naples Daily News. That’s so 2007.

Yeah, I mean, why would you want to link to your sister paper in Danbury? That’s just crazy. Instead we should link to newspapers three states away.

I used the Rutland newspaper’s story because it was more detailed, insightful and included quotes from both Danbury coach Rick Davis and from the good people of Rutland.
The Danbury N/T story was merely a chopped-down version of the same story written by the same author.
I have one comment about the comment thread…
“Oh no you didn’t!”
