Yeah, I haven’t done as much video as I would have liked this season. It takes too much time and a significantly faster computer to slap together during my hectic daily schedule. So I figured I’d just focus my efforts on the top games, including Masuk-Bunnell, the game everybody on this blog and around Greater Bridgeport had been waiting for since the end of last year.
For those who missed, it: here’s how Masuk’s 42-20 victory went down according to me and my flash recorder on the Masuk sidelines.
Apologies go out to Chris Cosmedy, whose long touchdown runs all but eluded my reach. I did, at least, get the end of the first run, Chris.
Anyway, enjoy. SPB

Nice Job SPB. It looks like a good crowd any guess at the size? The field looks great, kudo’s to the town of Stratford for going ahead dispite the naysayers movement against field turf and old tires.

Hey SPB, maybe you can come out to the Seymour/Ansonia game, chump, haha. I’d love to see some video of that game on here – NVL coverage, in general.
The house will be PACKED.

I have no idea about the crowd, Dave k. I can say it was almost as packed as a Stratford Thanksgiving Day game (maybe a shade under). So… maybe between 2,500-3,000?
And I will be at Ansonia-Seymour, Remmy.

SPB, I’m thinking about going to the Ansonia-Torrington game this thursday. Will it be a game or should I stay home? The Bunnell-Masuk game was a great game -plenty of fans and enthusiatic supporters for both teams. Those two teams are good and are well-coached

One thought!! Bunnell should move the scoreboard to the other end of the field so the people viewing the game from hill can know whats going on. Otherwise the new field was terrific and a credit to the town of Stratford

Ansonia-Torrington shouldn’t be a terrible game… for maybe a half. Ansonia still wins big, but Torrington’s new coach Dan Dunaj is a Seymour guy and it’ll be interesting how they handle the Chargers.
This is an up-and-coming team under Dunaj. But, remember, this still is a 3-4 team that lost to Seymour 40-0 at the start of the season and to Woodland 21-20.
If enough breaks Torrington’s way, they might wind up the winner of the Copper Division and would play Ansonia or Seymour (depending on that Nov. 13 game’s winner) in the highly unnecessary NVL title game on Nov. 20. (unnecessary because everybody plays everybody in the 11-game season).

SPB any idea why there isn’t a D1 and DII SCC championship game?

Agreed with SPB. Come up to Ansonia for the game. It should be a decent one. I’m not expecting too much from the running game on Thursday. However, the passing game has been great this season – yes, I just said the Ansonia passing game has been GREAT this season, so you might want to check it out.

You’re not a Masuk alum by any chance, are you, Mr. Bowley?
You would have gotten a better view from the Bunnell sideline…
One loss knocks Bunnell out of the Top 8?

1. No.
2. I typically stand on the visitors’ sideline so I can accurately chart down and distance according to the markers (which are on the visitors’ side).
3. Yes.
