The FCIAC has an equal (if not greater) number of good teams - they just don't always play each other. The solution is a power conference. That way, squads like Staples - no disrespect intended to Wreckers fans - don't traipse through absurdly easy pre-FCIAC Championship schedules. Matt C, I don’t see much difference. Shelton, Xavier, West Haven, Cheshire, Hamden Norte Dame, Hand would give them all tight games. Personally, the FCIAC schedule with the exception of Greenwich,Staples,Central and maybe Ridgefield is not that good. I would like to see New Caanan travel to Xavier or Hamden for that matter they would not win. I would be curious to see if New Caanan played in the SCC Div 1 East Schedule would they be as good.
