Hey prophet, darien boy and whomever, NCHS got an ass-kicking. Go Central! Win the state. And remember losing to King in a scrimmage so not real.

But King can play with anyone and has the best players in the Area!

Matt C, I don't see much difference. The FCIAC has an equal (if not greater) number of good teams - they just don't always play each other. The solution is a power conference. That way, squads like Staples - no disrespect intended to Wreckers fans - don't traipse through absurdly easy pre-FCIAC Championship schedules.

I would be curious to see if New Caanan played in the SCC Div 1 East Schedule would they be as good. Shelton, Xavier, West Haven, Cheshire, Hamden Norte Dame, Hand would give them all tight games. Personally, the FCIAC schedule with the exception of Greenwich,Staples,Central and maybe Ridgefield is not that good. I would like to see New Caanan travel to Xavier or Hamden for that matter they would not win.

that NC team in 96 was not a prime NC Team - they were the first NC team that was a product of the playoff system - NC finished 3rd or 4th in their class a lot in the early 90s - wonder how they would have stacked up to other NC teams from earlier in the decade (I think NC only lost to Darien and Greenwich in 91 - both went on to states)
