The drive for the playoffs begins tonight with three pretty big games on the schedule.
Update: We have all the finals.
Montville 48, St. Bernard/Norwich Tech 12
Farmington 49, Abbott Tech 18
SMSA 24, Bulkeley 7
Montville clinches with a victory over St. Bernard and is the No. 2 seed in Class SS. Bullard-Havens earns one of two bonuses with SMSA defeating Bulkeley. Farmington’s win over Abbott Tech removes that game from Bullard-Haven’s potential. The Tigers have 50 potential bonuses going into the next two days and needs just one more to clinch with a Bassick victory if Wolcott loses to Holy Cross.
St. Joseph’s prospects remain the same. If Wolcott loses, they’ll need to beat Trumbull and get a few bonuses their way to clinch.

Yeah, they may not look like much from our corner of the state. But, believe you me, they mean everything in the Class SS playoff race, particularly Bullard-Havens and St. Joseph.
Here’s the breakdown of the Class SS playoff scenarios posted earlier on this space. These posts will be updated with scores as we go along.
If you don’t have a couple of hours to decipher that, here’s who to root for:
If you’re a fan of Bullard Havens, root for Abbott Tech and SMSA (wins gives Bullard-Havens 10 points each)
If you’re a fan of St. Joseph, root for Farmington and Bulkeley (which will deny Bullard-Havens points)
If you’re a fan of Montville, root for Montville. They’ll clinch with a victory.

confused again…. does this mean st. joes is out if wolcott loses to holy cross regardless if st. joes beats trumbull on thanksgiving..
No. If Wolcott loses to Holy Cross, there’s a good chance St. Joseph and Bullard-Havens will go with victories.
Sean,
To me it would be a shame if St Joe’s didn’t get in…I saw how good they are, and how hard they played GHS in Greenwich…They have that kid Tyler Matevich who plays tough & really well on both sides of the ball..I’d say he’s a scholarship kid somewhere, and wouldn’t be suprised if it was D-1…
I hope that St. Joe’s makes it in because I think Montville would give them the business.
