Playing devils advocate here. Some fans suggested that Goldrich be the QB of the year or offensive player of the year and he didnt even make all-scc? What are those coaches thinking?

  2. fciacfootballfan1 says:

I like the way the SCC does its all-League teams. One offense and one defense for the whole league, and only the truly elite players make it, so it isn’t as watered down as the All-FCIAC and All-SWC teams (not to take away from those who earn accolades).

  3. roto says:

You don’t want to see how laws, sausages, and all-conference teams are made. A lot of horse-trading and spreading the wealth around. They figure Goldrich will be around next year. College coaches don’t look at that stuff-they look at film and want to see you in person.

  4. fciacfootballfan1 says:

Never mind, I take back what I said; I skipped past the Division II team; but still, congrats to all who earned honors

  5. Prep12 says:

Each team is allowed only so many players according to where the team finished, so when its time for teams to choose their best players there may not be any spots at that position open. Then they put a player in who may not be deserve it but that is the only open position left. Such as Prep with the last choice who’s best player is a linebacker but with no spots open there, they take a DB. But the screwy thing is he’s not even the best DB but keep blaming those seniors Pinto, eventually someone will believe you.

  6. butch says:

If you make first team ALL-SCC then you are something special. That if one heck of a league. I’m a huge FCIAC fan but I like the overall competition in your league better.

  7. big guy says:

    Just curious. How do you get 3 qb’s ? And only 3 RB’s. D 1

  8. Disgusted Prep Fan says:

In addition to Prep 12 comment. There were 3 seniors, a LB a WR/S and a DB far more deserving than the (all-scc)player choosen by Pinto. If he had kept correct stats that was clearly evident, but remember Pinto was playing for the future before these seniors even saw the practice field this year. Lots of good that did him!! Since there is no coach now to nominate for the all ct post team maybe this will help one of them

  9. Rad960 says:

    Who is Goldrich?????

  10. homeskillet says:

i really am devasted and absolutely shocked that sean goldrich of NDWH got snubbed out of this..best QB rating in the state?..and hes not even All SCC????????

  11. homeskillet says:

pace only had good numbers because defenses were soooooo determined to try and stop hayes. without hayes pace is average at best

  12. MasukRules says:

There are way too many people who are first team.

  13. Some of the latest comments are getting out of hand. I’ve already dumped a few. We will not have anonymous accusations and name-calling.

  14. mon78 says:

Oh really Masuck rules how many people make all fciac? try almost everyone. does the swc even give out awards, if they do they should just give the all swc to the whole pomp team.

  15. CraigD says:

The Prep posters are completely out of line – regardless of who the players are (I have no idea). If you are close enough to know the players involved you are close enough to know better. Do any of you expect to build a program in the near future?

  16. Had says:

Spb when will all fciac team be up?

  17. Prep12 says:

Craig D…I don’t get what you mean, there were 3 better players and 2 were DB’s. You pick a player because he’s a junior, for what, to make him feel better about next year. I know the players involved please explain.

  18. CraigD says:

Its not right for any reason to call out a team mate, or class mate as “not being the best DB”. It explains a lot, that’s all.

  19. Prep12 says:

Craig D… And what do you mean about us building a program? I will say this you bring in a good coach in 2 years that senior and junior class will be pretty good.

  20. Mike says:

For the Goldrich Fans they could only take 4 from NDWH so either the coach didn’t think he was one of his top 4 or he figured he will get his next year.

  21. Prep12 says:

Craig D.. I’m neither a teammate or a classmate and I don’t know what “this explains alot” means so I will explain to you. There were at least 10 or 11 seniors who quit after their soph and junior years because of Magdon and Pinto. 7 seniors came back 1 good enough to play his soph yr and start his junior year and 2 others good enough to start during the season last year. From the start of practice this year Pinto and his staff were telling the underclassman to stay away from them saying they were cancers even though they had the balls to stay and play for them when the others quit. If you watched every minute of every game you know the order of caliber players out there and Pinto screwed up again, from picking his staff to screwing up the captains and now his SCC pick and this is no indictment on the player he’s a good little player.

  22. jay says:

To say 3 quarterbacks in SCC are better than Goldrich, calls into question every selection made, it does a dis-service to everyone.

  23. Sam says:

Tom Scanlon of Amity lead the state of CT in interceptions, that is something that should have more publicity.

  24. MasukRules says:

    It’s spelled Masuk.

  25. ray brown says:

all-star teams are a political scam———-one year from now no one will know who made what———-remember that steve young didnt make all -state in favor of a qb from seymour whose dad was head coach——id rather have youngs credentials

  26. big guy says:

SPB how about the other teams ???

  27. SWC Fan says:

Sean, how about a listing of SWC all-conference players? Thanks.

  28. fciacfootballfan says:

Is there any place you can find a listing of the All-State teams?

  29. staples 7 says:

all FCIAC? all State? all connpost all stars?

  30. Fight says:

ALL SWC? ALL FCIAC? ALL STATE? ALL CONNPOST?

  31. Relax. The SWC is somewhere beyond my current grasp; The FCIAC hasn’t been released. The All Post won’t be out for a while. We’re still collating it.
