Double check on the site of the Masuk@ Greenwich scrimmage.Rumors have it @ Stamford due to the synthetic composition of the field @ Greenwich

  2. hsfan says:

stratford is in the jon law westhill scrimmage tomorrow.

  3. ray brown says:

caught ansonias 28-15 win over west haven.ansonias running game and defense remain constant.QBS continue to miss their marks for some reason.West haven was small and thin looking.good QB and a pretty good tall receiver.running game was shabby.Cant see them making big noise in scc.

  4. Brian says:

    SPB,

Monday’s 10am scrimmage between Masuk and Greenwich has been moved to Greenwich central middle school from what my sources have told me. it’s on 9 Indian Rock lane Greenwich ct 06830 for those that want to map quest it.

  5. Smiles says:

SPB do you know what games from our area will be on MSG Varsity this year. Is there a master schedule anywhere?

  6. Tony says:

Ray Brown Score with regulars in Ansonia_WH scrimmage was 3 tds to 2 in AHS favor .Phillips for WH did not participate.Ansonia scored on a pick 6 or its a tie.Westies will be fine but they are year away from having one of top teams. They have like 23 juniors on team and Phillips is sophomore. They will be in playoff hunt but they have to play Xavier,Hand,Cheshire,Nd-WH,Amity and Prep so it will be tough.WH doesnt play scrimmage like playoffs like Ansonia..AHS beat them by 3 tds last year but Westies went 9-3 losing to Xavier twice and a senior laden Hand team

  7. Captainobvious says:

Tony, your wrong on two points. One is the score (4-2) and the other is how serious this game is to BOTH staffs. Ansonia scored on one passing, two rushing, one defensive TD and made 3 of four extra points. Both teams scored in one series of red zone tries, while Ansonias JV scored on WH. WH scored once in the first half and once in the second with a two point conversion after the second, making the final score 27-15. Why go for two? Because they wanted to win!
The second is each others desire to win the game. If you were to ask either coach if this game was important to them the answer would be an emphatic YES. Don’t kid yourself! it might be preseason, but there is a history here. Ask your coach and let me know what he says.
Ansonia beat the Westies like they owed them something. The score doesn’t tell the whole story. West Havens QB needs a shrink after this one

  8. MasukRules says:

These scrimmages will be the highlight of many teams seasons.

  9. ray brown says:

all you scc guys are the same tony.last year nd beat ansonia and roto had nd going to the rose bowl.now scrimmages dont mean anything.the fact is west haven is a average team, with some quickness.5-5 this year but we all know that wasnt a pop warner game.

  10. Congrats to the Cardinals for a great scrimage at Iona this Saturday. The QB impressed me the way he stood in there and went through his progressions .. took some big hit but maade some big plays too. Give him time in the pocket and he’ll make it happen this year.

  11. hsfan says:

stratford-ridgefield scrimmage changed to stratford. Stratford doesn’t look bad this year. very fast.

  12. PompFan04 says:

Pomp beat Amity 28-0. A lot of turnovers for both teams. Thought Pomps OL did a pretty decent job,and QB situation is still a very big question mark, but if one of the two kids steps up look out they could be very tough. A lot of team speed in the skill positions, playmakers everywhere.

  13. Captainobvious says:

Masuckrules, every run stops at some point and time, you needed a transfer to get this one going! Ansonia will never hang it’s hat on a scrimmage. Stay in your lane! Good luck and enjoy what you have while it’s there.

  14. Mike V says:

Ray Brown If West Haven doesnt go 8-2 or better I will meet you some where and buy you lunch.Ervin Phillips didnt play in scrimmage. How would Ansonia have done without Newsome?Westies have dominated other 2 scrimmages against FCIAC teams

  15. hsfan says:

ridgefield is coming to stratford tomorrow 4:30.
