In this case, you have to drive up to Southington and snap pictures of the few sheets coaches have in their folders out at this secret meeting for all-state pictures.

All-state is divided into five: the four playoffs classes plus an overall all-state team. Players who make the overall team do not make the Class teams. There are 12 men per team.

Strange configuration to the M All State team: no quarterback, only 1 running back, and 7 offensive linemen. I can’t recall ever seeing an All State team, or, for that matter, any post-season all star team without a quarterback. Last time I checked, it was a fairly critical position.

The primary All-State team is willing to trade two RBs (so M can run the single-wing) for two OL. Manwaring and DiGiorgi for Martin and, say, Basillica?

You have to be kidding me,,,Frankie Zumbo for ND Fairfied is ranked #1 in the state in tackles with 14,4 per game for Class S RANKED #1 in the STATE CLASS S and top 5 in the state OVERALL as well as with IN addition 724 yards rushing as a full back #1 in the state and does not get mentioned???? WHAT A FARCE!!

What a total injustice for LB Frank Zumbo of Notre Dame – Fairfield. I took a loo at some of the comments made and checked out Stats on MAX PREPS to see for myself….and I agree with #10 regardless of who he may be. A player who plays both ways on a non- winning team with very little support has a much more difficult time putting up numbers on both sides of the ball on offense and defense let alone being ranked #1 in tackles in Class S as well as top 4 in SWC while making first team ALL-CONFERENCE at the LB position. Do not agree on method Coaches select ALL-STATE. Committee please justify the selections?
