Can the coaches for this years all star team think slightly out of their tony franklin dvds and actually provide the fans with real high school football. Get rid of the sideways passing and zone read. It’s too cookie cutter now.

  2. Vocdiddy says:

LOL, if the Franklin system wasn’t available 9 out of 10 coaches in the state wouldn’t have jobs. Masuk and Cromwell master that offense and prove it works, then again I saw Weaver on a Thurs night attempt to run it and set CT Football back 50 years. I’m sure with 10 minutes and no legs a gymnastics team could have gained more yards. Yikes

  3. SWC says:

masuk sophmore class has some kids that can play… they will suprise some people

  4. Baron says:

#3 I think we are done with Masuk, don’t you!!!

  5. Mike Ditka says:

They need to add some more Linebackers.

  6. Carl D says:

They need to stop running a student cookie cutter offense bought off a set of dvds. Why not have a computer system call the plays?

  7. Section1Guy says:

Are there any open dates in Connecticut on October 19th-October 20th??

  8. out with the old--in with the new says:

Masuk needs a change. Murphy should pack it in and let someone else get in there. Would love to see Gueli at the helm. New blood might just be what that program needs

  9. tp says:

The Tony Franklin system is just as it sounds…a system that teaches concepts in the spread passing and screen game…not sure what you guys mean by cookie cutter? Many teams run it in CT not just Masuk…i don’t hear people calling for New Canaan to change their offense and they won back to back to back state titles running the same system (Franklin). St Joe’s won a state title with it…Hand’s spread game is based in Franklin concepts as well. Most successful programs in this state have used the system as a whole or parts of it.

  10. SWC Guy says:

Yea Masuk needs a change. The program has really struggled under Coach Murph. Remember what a big power they were before he got there? O wait they were nothing. Look at his record. 15 years, 7 league titles, 7 times in the State Championship, 11 times in the playoffs. Yea they need a new guy to pick this up.
