We haven’t released long scrimmage videos like we used to. There’s too much to do and so little time before the season starts.
So we’ll just whet your appetites with a few of the best clips we happened to capture during preseason.
First up, West Haven junior tailback Ervin Phillips takes a flat pass and zig-zags his way for a 38-yard touchdown in a Thursday scrimmage vs. Bridgeport Central. Pretty impressive stuff.
Fantastic catch and run! If that was Central’s first D they’re in for a loooong year. And what was up with the ref’s TD signal? She looked like one of the people who hold up “Quiet Please” signs at golf tournaments.
