Danbury High School football player Tristan Jakobson took one for the team in Friday night’s 13-6 victory over Bridgeport Central. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound senior tight end filled in at offensive tackle the entire game for a teammate who was ill.
Hatters coach Dan Donovan was certainly proud of his efforts.
“He probably wasn’t too happy about it, but he did a phenomenal job playing tackle for one week,” Donovan said. “The team has to thank him for stepping up.”
