Patrick Lesch, Staples RB: 264 yards and 3 TDs (runs of 1, 12 and 48 yards) in 41-14 defeat of Stamford.
Arkeel Newsome, Ansonia RB: 203 yards and 4 TDs (45, 14, 2 and 26 yards) in Chargers’ 47-14 defeat of Wilby. For the first time played into the third quarter, carrying twice for 39 yards and one of his TDs.
Mark Piccirillo, Shelton QB: Helped beat Foran 35-13 with his legs, running for 88 yards and 3 TDs (10, 1 and 4 yards).

Tyrae Small, Derby: Ran 91 yards for a TD (totaled 150 on the ground in 15 tries) and caught a Kreiger pass for 35 yards and another score in victory over Crosby.
James Giannone, Bethel: Scored 3 TDs on an 87-yard kickoff return, a 17-yard run and a 20-yard interception return in victory over Pomperaug.
PJ Kokkoros, Masuk: 4 catches for 141 yards and 2 TDs in victory over Oxford. Rushed for 2 scores (4 and 5 yards) and threw for a 2-point conversion.
Nick Seis, Brookfield: Caught TD passes of 30 and 35 yards from Brad Westmark, recovered a fumble and had two sacks in victory over Immaculate.
Michael Arman, Ludlowe WR: Saw a ball bounce off his hands, bound off a falling defender before ricocheting off teammate Patrick O’Leary’s facemask and into his hands. Raced another 30 yards for a 66-yard TD that lifted the Falcons to a 35-31 win over Harding.
Jack Mendillo, Staples: 2 interceptions for the Wreckers, whose defense allowed Stamford just 41 yards on 19 snaps in the second half after giving up a number of big plays early.
Kenneth Keen, McMahon: Interception after Westhill drove to the Senators’ 11-yard line in the final seconds preserved 21-15 victory.
