David Ryan, Amity QB: Threw 3 TD passes and ran for another score in 34-21 win over Hamden.

Mufasha Abdul-Basir, St. Joseph RB: Rushed for school-record 268 yards and scored 4 TDs as Cadets clinched spot in FCIAC title game with 42-35 victory over McMahon.

Steve Persson, Oxford RB: Rushed for school-record 339 yards and 4 TDs in 39-20 win over Bunnell.

Arkeel Newsome, Ansonia RB: 120 yards rushing and 3 TDs on 10 carries in 50-8 rout of Crosby.

Marc Cesare, Trumbull RB: 148 yards and 3 TDs on 17 carries in win over Central.

Will Bonaparte, Ridgefield RB: 111 yards and 1 TD on 27 totes in 21-13 win over Wilton.

James Lewis and Colin Cioffi, New Fairfield RBs: Lewis ran for 129 yards and Cioffi for 113 and a TD in 19-15 win over Pomperaug.

Stephen Longley, Foran RB: 95 rushing yards and 2 second-half TDs as Lions pulled away from Guilford 34-13. Teammate Connor Cadrin chipped in 127 yards on 11 carries.

GAME BREAKERS

Colton Smith, Fairfield Prep QB: 305 yards rushing and 3 TDs (80, 40 and 34 yards) while passing for 130 yards and a TD in 46-27 victory over Xavier as the Jesuits stayed in the chase for a Class LL playoff berth.

Austin Longi, Greenwich RB: Scored 7 TDs in 57-29 romp over Danbury — 5 rushing on 272 yards, 1 receiving on a 49-yard pass from Matt Marzulla and 1 on a 45-yard punt return.

Nick Lombardo, Darien: 84-yard kickoff return and 7-yard run for TDs in 36-29 victory over North Haven.

Daniel Jackson, Brookfield: 100-yard kickoff return and 73-yard run for TDs as Bobcats beat Barlow 28-26 to earn berth in SWC game opposite Newtown.

A.J. MacDonald, New Milford: Ran for 2 TDs, caught a pass for a third and returned a punt 40 yards for a fourth in 41-20 victory over Stratford.

Matt White, Fairfield Ludlowe QB: Passed for 2 TDs and ran for 2 more scores in 42-40 win over Stamford.

Will Johnson, Staples WR: 5 catches for 124 yards and a TD — one of 2 thrown by QB Jack Massie — in 48-13 victory over Norwalk.

Evan Skoparantzos, Westhill WR: TD catches of 3 and 28 yards from QB Ryan Coppola in 20-6 victory over Harding.

Bobby Drysdale, Brookfield LB: Helped preserve victory over Barlow, jumping the route on a 2-point conversion pass and swatting the ball away.

Joe Schlessinger, Westhill LB: 13-yard interception return for a TD sealed win over Harding and punctuated a strong defensive game by the Vikings.

VALIANT IN DEFEAT

Mykel Morris, Central QB: Threw 68 yards for 1 TD, ran 55 for another and returned a punt 87 yards for a third in 43-18 loss at Trumbull. Added 2 interceptions on defense.

Michael Pingree, Shelton WR: 5 catches for 159 yards in 35-26 loss to West Haven. Caught TD passes of 77 and 25 yards.

Jack Shaban, Barlow QB: 150 yards and a TD on 18 carries in 28-26 loss to Brookfield.

Cameron Webb, Stamford RB: 218 rushing yards and an 80-yard TD run on 17 carries in 42-40 loss to Fairfield Ludlowe.

Zhyaire Fernandes, Bunnell WR: 10 catches for 210 yards in 39-20 loss to Oxford.

Delton Rogers, Abbott Tech: 160 yards rushing and 2 TDs, 5 catches for 110 yards and a TD in 60-52 loss to Prince Tech.
