NAGAROTE, Nicaragua – When Norwalk Community College professor Angeles Dam proposed a Spanish-immersion class in Nicaragua, she was met with raised eyebrows.

NAGAROTE, Nicaragua – Five years ago, Barrio Jeronimo Lopez was considered one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Nagarote.

NAGAROTE, Nicaragua – In this city about 2,100 miles from Connecticut everybody knows where to find Norwalk.

Ask the driver of a bixi – a bicycle-taxi hybrid that is the transportation of choice in Nagarote – and he’ll tell you. (more…)
