FADING DAYS

Kathleen O’Rourke/The Advocate

Jordan Gill, 10, Tyler Gill, 7, and their sister Brianna Gill, 11, relax on the swings early in the evening at Scalzi Park.

I haven’t blogged in a while so this is another one of my “Scalzi at Night” installments. The story and photo package will run next week, hopefully Wednesday September 10. I gotta get back to the park with an audio recorder because there was great background noise and good interviews. I’ve joked with fellow photog Chris P. about good commentary on this blog, which he does so much better than I. I could have used his hip NorCal lingo to communicate with the young “Generation Y” set on the basketball courts.

I am not certain I know of the “lingo” to which you are referring as I speak only The King’s English. Do not let my humble beginnings in the now financially-bankrupt Northern California municipality from which I hail fool you; I received a fine public education.
