The sign on the gate read “No Swimming.” It is after all, only the middle of April. But just a few yards away it looked like Memorial Day Weekend at the beach.
With temperatures hovering around 90 degrees Monday, the cold waters of Candlewood Lake in Danbury provided the perfect relief for school kids looking for a way to beat the heat on
their first day of spring break. I always panic when I have to shoot weather photos. I was happy Monday to find some brave souls that didn’t care that the calendar said April and the sign said no swimming.
