Am I missing something here?
Believe me, I know The New York Times isn’t the only paper in town, but two days in a row now I’ve sat in the same seat here at Starbucks and haven’t read one substantial Jets’ article in the “paper of record.”
Today, all we had was mention of punter Steve Weatherford’s hamstring injury. Nothing else on the Jets, one day before one of the biggest games in franchise history. No worries though, the Daily News, New York Post, Stamford Advocate, etc. pick up the slack.
To be fair, OP-ED columnist Bob Herbert, who usually writes about politics and society, has a nice piece entitled “The Miracle That Never Happens.” It’s about the Jets’ futility over the years.
I will be at this game – I don’t buy the overpriced brew in the plastic longnecks anyway – it will be my swan song reguardless of what happens – not buying $10,000.00 worth of PSL’S – it is leaglized piracy – after 25 seasons this is the thanks I get – I’m scheduled to go on a tour of the new stadium on 1/12 – I will go my “stadium specialist” is encouraging me to do so plus yes, I’m intrested to see it but they will try to hard sell me because they are not anywhere near getting the job done with the seating. It will be intresting to see how this pans out – Just want a win – then we go from there!
