Charles Costello is the creator, editor, and lead writer of fordhamsportsnet.com, a website that provides independent, comprehensive coverage of the Fordham University men’s basketball and football teams. He is also the author of Hearst Connecticut’s Teacher Talk blog and a contributing writer for SNY TV’s Giants Football Blog.
Costello began his career as a sports broadcaster at WFUV Radio in New York. He was the host of One on One, New York’s longest-running sports call-in show. He also broadcasted daily sports updates, and did play-by-play and color commentary of Fordham basketball. In addition, Costello was a beat reporter for the Yankees, Mets, Giants, Knicks, and Rangers. Upon leaving the station, Costello became the Sports Editor of the Darien News-Review in Darien, CT, and did play-by-play of Greenwich High School’s basketball, football, and baseball teams on WGCH Radio in Greenwich, CT.
A 1998 graduate of Fordham University, Costello received his Master’s Degree in Teaching from Sacred Heart University. He has been an English Teacher at Greenwich High School since 2002. He is also an assistant varsity baseball coach at the school.
Costello resides in Greenwich, CT with his girlfriend, Erin, their dog, Kermit, and two cats, Groucho and Sunny.
