Chef Pat Pascarella and sous chef Joseph Italiano give preschoolers from the Community Cooperative Nursery School in Rowayton a hands-on demonstration in fresh pasta making. On Wednesday, 20 four-year olds took a field trip to Bar Sugo, a new Italian restaurant on 102 Wall Street in Norwalk. The children themselves showed a curiosity about pasta-making which led to their in-depth investigation in and out of the classroom.
CCNS (www.ccnsct.com) serves children ages two to five, and focuses on learning through play with a curriculum driven by student interests.
