The Community Cooperative Nursery School (CCNS) will be holding its Open House on Thursday, January 10 from 7-9pm. CCNS is a preschool with a 59-year tradition of providing children a creative environment with professional guidance. Parents are invited to their open house to meet the teachers, talk with the families, and visit the classrooms. With a unique passion and vision combining creativity, play, the child and the family, CCNS proudly remains one of the few truly cooperative preschools in Connecticut. The parents own and care for the school and in doing so, embrace the qualities CCNS strives to instill in children. The CCNS educational director, Dana Gorman is a nationally recognized practitioner of emergent education. In 2010, Dana won the Stepping Stones “Playful Practices in Teaching” award. More information on her methodology can be found on her blog: www.playfullylearning.blogspot.com. CCNS has drop-off classes for ages 2, 3 and 4 and has an open enrollment policy. The school is licensed by the State of Connecticut. For more information, please call Tracy King at the school at (203) 866-2184 or visit www.ccnsct.com.
