The Rowayton Arts Center’s first Fabric Art Workshop was so successful that a second session is scheduled from 10am-4pm on Saturday, March 2. Using a portable loom, teens and adults discover that creating diverse woven items is easy and fun! Susan Snider teaches basic techniques that allow participants to complete a sample using different weaving patterns while experimenting with color and texture. Snider has been a fiber artist for more than 30 years. She is a member of the Handweavers’ Guild of America, the Handweavers’ Guild of Connecticut and the Nutmeg Spinners’ Guild. She teaches at Madison Wool in Madison and has exhibited at the Biennial Show for the Connecticut Guild and the New England Weavers’ Seminar conference. The workshop fee is only $95 and looms and materials are provided. To register visit www.rowaytonartscenter.org or call 203-866-2744. Space is limited.
Everything that is… just right for Rowayton.
