Damage Assessment Survey for Residents and Businesses: Rowayton Residents are urged to report the damage to their property that was incurred by Tropical Storm Irene: Preliminary
As part of the process to determine if residents and businesses in our area will receive Federal Assistance resulting from damage incurred from Hurricane Irene, a preliminary survey has been developed.
The survey has been placed at the City of Norwalk Web site.
The City of Norwalk’s Department of Emregency Management is asking residents and businesses that experienced damaged to complete the short survey. Data collected from those responses will be utilized by Norwalk to submit data to the State of Connecticut and the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA). The survery also will assist Norwalk us in identifying properties that sustained structural damage due to flooding or high winds and downed trees and will enable FEMA teams to conduct detailed assessments.
This is the first phase of the data collection process.
If a decision is made that individuals and small businesses are eligible for assistance, applicants will need to register and apply directly to FEMA and additional information will be provided at that time. This survey is not a FEMA application, it only helps ensure the City submits as thorough a list of damages to as possible for review and follow-up. If you know of friends or family who sustained damages, please encourage them to complete this survey.
A link to the survey is provide at the City of Norwalk web page (www.norwalkct.org) or can be accessed directly at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/IreneSurvey
