Dan Perkins Chevrolet Closes

|

Evan Perkins said in a letter to customers that the family-owned Dan Perkins Chevrolet dealership on Bridgeport Avenue has closed, ending a 30-year relationship between the GM automakers with its mythic Camaro and Corvette nameplates and the local businessman known as “Dan Dan the Chevy Man.”

Evan Perkins said the family’s Subaru dealership will remain and can provide service for other makes and models. The company also plans to open a Pre-Owned Car Center soon with more than 500 vehicles. There will also be another Chevy dealer in Milford.

The Perkins Chevrolet dealership is slated to become a pharmacy, officials said.

Thanks, Tim and Russ! My folks bought the 1963 Chevy Impala SS (used) from Page Motors. It would eventually become my first car!

Hello from out west. What was the name of the Chevy dealer before Dan Perkins bought it? This is the one at the corner of Schoolhouse Road, correct?
